AE Global Acquires Sun Packaging Technologies Inc., Expanding Automation Equipment Sales & Service Capabilities Strategic acquisition strengthens AEG’s leadership in packaging automation across the Southeastern U.SMiami, FL January 7, 2026
AE Global (AEG), a leading independent packaging distributor and hybrid manufacturer, today announced the acquisition of Sun Packaging Technologies Inc. (SunPac), a South Florida–based industrial packaging distributor with deep expertise in equipment and automation sales, systems integration, and technical service.
Founded in 1991 by Len and Michael Goldstein, SunPac has built a 34-year legacy as a trusted partner to manufacturers seeking consumables and end-of-line automation solutions. While widely known as a packaging distributor, SunPac’s distinguishing strength lies in its performance-driven approach to automation equipment, including system specification, implementation, preventative maintenance, and on-site technical service.
This acquisition meaningfully advances AE Global’s strategy to scale its automation equipment and service division, a key pillar of the company’s solutions-based offering.
“SunPac further enhances our ability to sell, deploy, and support equipment and automation at scale,” said Josh Berman, Director of Packaging at AE Global. “Their reputation for excellence and customer-centric approach aligns perfectly with our mission to provide unparalleled service and innovative packaging solutions nationwide.”
With the addition of SunPac, AE Global’s industrial packaging division now comprises the largest industrial packaging sales and service organization in Florida, including 35 sales professionals and seven dedicated packaging technicians. The expanded team enhances AEG’s ability to support complex, automated packaging lines with responsive, localized service, while maintaining the independence and flexibility customers expect.
As part of the transaction, Michael Goldstein and the entire SunPac team will remain with the business, ensuring continuity for existing customers. Day-to-day operations will continue without disruption, supported by the same service-first model SunPac customers rely on today, now reinforced by AE Global’s national distribution network, vertically integrated manufacturing capabilities, and expanded operational resources.
“We’ve been building a relationship with AE Global’s founders for eight years,” said Michael Goldstein, President of Sun Packaging Technologies. “They understand our business, our customers, and, most importantly, our people. From the beginning, it was clear that AE Global would be the right long-term home for SunPac. As a privately owned company for over three decades, finding a partner that values our legacy of superior service and dedication to our employees was paramount.”
This acquisition represents AE Global’s fourth transaction in Florida and underscores the company’s broader commitment to serving customers through a solutions-based approach.
